Elizabeth Joyner came to botanical art from a medical science background. She has been a botanical artist since 1998, after tuition at Ku-ring-gai and Willoughby Art Centres and a Botanical Illustration Course at Sydney Botanic Gardens.
Since their inception, Elizabeth has been a regular exhibitor in the BASA Members' Annual Exhibition, the Margaret Flockton Scientific Illustration Award and the Canberra Botanical Exhibition. Recent exhibitions include the BASA 2006 Parliament House and 2007 Botanica Exhibitions.
She has been a foundation Secretary of BASA and Vice President from 2002-2003. Since 1998 Elizabeth has been hosting weekly botanical art painting groups.
