In 1999 Katrine began
botanical illustration through a course with Helen Fitzgerald, following
a successful nursing career.
She has benefited from
master classes with Jenny Phillips, Bronwyn Van de Graff and Beverley
Allen.
Katrine is a member of the
Botanical Art Society of Australia (BASA), The Artist's Society of
Canberra (ASOC), the Friends of the Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens and the
Canberra National Botanical Gardens.
From late 2000 Katrine has
exhibited and sold works at 'Botanica' in the Sydney Royal
Botanic Gardens, Canberra Botanical at Discovery CSIRO and other
Canberra and regional NSW exhibitions. Her paintings and commissioned
works are held in a number of private collections in Australia, England
and Canada.
