  • The Robert Clark Horticultural Centre Ballarat Botanical Gardens

The aim of this exhibition is to promote awareness of the rare and endangered plant species of Ballarat and surrounds.

These plants need our help and protection if they are to survive.

In addition to promoting conservation, this ongoing project has also proved to be useful in the ongoing  building professional skills of the artists.
While learning how to source and illustrate plants that are not easy to find, the artists sometimes proved to be very resourceful in finding materials and reference.

Our mission statement calls for “educating the public to the reason for preservation of plant species through botanical art that is relevant to Ballarat and surrounds.”

The exhibition will benefit the Ballarat Botanical Artists as an emerging group, allowing an increase in public recognition and awareness
