Lauren Sahu-Khan

Lauren Sahu-Khan was born in Sydney, Australia, in 1990. She always enjoyed creating art and crafts and was often inspired by the beauty of the natural world around her. Lauren completed a Bachelor of Natural History Illustration (First Class Honours) in 2012 from the University of Newcastle.

Since completing her degree, Lauren has painted for various exhibitions, completed commissioned works, dabbled in teaching art classes and watercolour workshops and discovered a love for botanical art in particular. Her botanical paintings/drawings may be found in the Hunt Institute of Botanical Documentation, Pittsburgh US, and in collections of The Florilegium Botanical Art Society, Sydney Australia. Lauren also regularly contributes to the Botanica exhibitions at the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney and is a member of the Botanical Art Society of Australia.

Lauren is currently based in Newcastle, NSW. She lives with her husband and three small children in their 'treehouse' surrounded by native birds, wildlife and plants in a hidden pocket of bushland.
