BASA Annual General Meeting 2022

The guest speaker will be Sharon Field. Sharon was the recipient of a grant from the American Society of Botanical Artists to document the eucalypt dieback in the Monaro region of NSW. Dieback is a global phenomenon, which is exacerbated by climate change. Sharon believes that botanical art has an important role to play is educating people about the importance of plants in maintaining healthy habitats.

The grant conditions were quite specific in that Sharon not only had to complete a significant work of art, but also meet a number of other outreach requirements which, interestingly, have had a number of positive consequences in the subsequent years. Please join us to hear about her work.

The meeting will start at 2pm but the Zoom link will be open from 1:30pm to allow participants to connect. Information on using Zoom is available here.
