Grevilleas in Watercolour with Anne Hayes - ACT

A two-day workshop for more experienced botanical artists concentrating on Grevilleas - taught by Botanical Artist, Anne Hayes. We will explore the intricate beauty of this wonderful subject through sketching and watercolour.

Anne Hayes is a Brisbane-based botanical artist who specialises in native Australian flora and some exotics. Anne holds an Advanced Diploma in Visual Communication and a Diploma in Commercial Art (majoring in Illustration). She has previously exhibited at the Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art at Kew Gardens in London, The Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation in the USA, and the Art Gallery of NSW. Her work has appeared in many publications and is held in private collections both in Australia and overseas. 

Most recently she was awarded a Highly Commended in the Waterhouse Natural History Science Art Prize 2022 and was part of the travelling exhibition to Canberra. She also received a Celia Rosser Honourable Mention Award at TABI (The Art of Botanical Illustration) Melbourne exhibition in 2022 and won the People’s Choice award for that same exhibition.
