Workshop 3: Graphite and Ink Drawing with Susannah Blaxill

There will be two Drawing Workshops and two Watercolour Painting Workshops. I have aligned the dates in such a way as to allow students to take just one workshop or add another consecutively if it's thought this would be beneficial. Nearer the time I will choose subjects, and, of course, you can always contact me with your ideas should you wish to attend.

I have included in the Drawing Workshop an ink component. You can choose to draw in both graphite and/or ink if you would like to. I will be covering all that I know about both media. I am currently drawing in ink on Cold Pressed Arches paper which gives a very interesting and painterly finish. The pen glides over the textured paper so that the lines created are soft and gentle and the light shines through. I continue to really enjoy working this way and discovering what ink can do. The process is fun. I will provide more details for participants in the Drawing Materials List.

The Workshops will be limited to 6 students so that each will be given generous attention. Classes are held in my studio in Mittagong, NSW, from 9am-4pm
