Scientific Illustration (ONLINE) - with Anna Voytsekhovich

During this tutorial Anna will explain the main requirements for the scientific botanical illustration, and demonstrate how to dissect plants and illustrate the dissected material. She will give a few examples of different textures and explain how to draw them in ink. Students will learn how to produce an initial drawing of an object, how to scale it, what to include in composition, and then learn how to transfer it on paper and produce a beautiful scientifically accurate illustration in ink. After the tutorial all students will be asked to produce a finished scientific illustration in ink using the techniques they learned during the lesson. They will have 3 weeks to complete their homework and send back to the tutor for feedback.
