After spending many years as a print journalist, Fiona began pursuing a life-long interest in botanical illustration. Her primary interest in the environment and the natural world has found expression in painting plants and insects. For several years now she has been attending workshops and classes in a variety of subject areas, always with a focus on the natural world. She has gradually been building her skills with water colour and coloured pencils, and hopes her continued exploration of botanical art and related subjects will allow her to produce meaningful work.
