    This BASA exhibition will be held at the Cowra Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre, NSW from 2 September to 29 September. Spring is a beautiful time at the Garden so make time to come and visit!

    Entries close for the Flora 2022 Small Works exhibition on August 5.

    The exhibition will be held at the Japanese Garden in Cowra from 2-29 September 2022.

    Can Assist Southern Highlands is proud to partner with the Botanical Art Society of Australia (BASA) and the National Trust in presenting the inaugural Can Assist Southern Highlands Botanical Art & Illustration Prize.

    This will be a juried exhibition and prizes will be judged by Beverly Allen and Rick Shepherd. First Prize of $2000, Second Prize of $1000 and People’s Choice Award of $500 will be announced at the Exhibition Opening on Sunday 17th July at 11am.

    Can Assist ensures all people, no matter where they live in NSW, have equitable access to cancer treatment and care by providing financial assistance, practical support and raising awareness.

    The Can Assist SH Botanical Art & Illustration Prize will become an annual event celebrating a rotation of the seasons. Can Assist SH will receive the commission of 25% on sales of works and other monies collected at the exhibition.

    This prize is open only to members of the Botanical Art Society of Australia.

    The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show is back!

    After being cancelled in 2020 and 2021 the show is due to return on March 30.

    BASA will again be exhibiting in the art show on the gallery level in the Royal Exhibition Building.

    Members can apply to submit entries by clicking here.

    Entries close February 13.

    Neville Walsh, Senior Conservation Botanist at the RBGV, will discuss the role the RBGV plays in preserving Rare and Endangered species of Acacia, the government acts that are currently in place to safeguard threatened species and what the determiners are of these threatened species that lead them to joining this category in Australia.

    This is a zoom event on 1st Sept  at 5pm

    The BASA exhibition Flora in Canberra 2021 has been cancelled due to the lockdowns in NSW, ACT and VIC.

    Entries are now open for submitting work to the Flora in Canberra exhibition which will be on from 29 September to 10 October 2021 at the Fitters' Workshop in the Kingston Arts Precinct, Kingston ACT.

    Entries will close Sunday 5 Sept 2021.

    Prints of the beautiful work some of our best known artists are available for sale at very reasonable prices. Postage within Australia is included in the price.
