Florence Joly

Florence was born in France, and after graduating in an advertising and drawing diploma, moved to computers, doing graphic design in Paris.

She moved to Australia in 1997. Having not practised her drawing skills for a long time due to family and work commitments, she decided to try botanical art. She joined the Botanical Artists' Society of Queensland in 2012.
A keen photographer Florence likes to capture the close up details in plants. Using coloured pencils she is showing a world within a world in botanical drawing.
