Gillian Scott

Gillian Scott PhD FSBA is a leading botanical artist with work in important overseas collections including that of Dr Shirley Sherwood in the UK and the Hunt Museum of Botanical Documentation in USA.

She has been doing this kind of artwork for over 30 years and has taught many others who wish to make detailed studies of plants using the special techniques required to achieve the life-like appearance of the flowers, fruit and fungi that are her subjects. A botanist by training, she has grown many of the plants she paints.

Gillian now lives in Port Macquarie NSW, and has started teaching botanical art there with the help of fellow BASA member Margaret Pople.
