MIFGS 2014For the second year BASA members have exhibited their work at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show which was held from March 26 to March 30. The show is the largest flower and garden show in Australia and attracts thousands of visitors from interstate and overseas. The Melbourne Exhibition Building in which the art is displayed is a beautiful heritage listed building in which Federal Parliament was opened in May 1901. This year 21 artists entered the show with 54 works. More than half the entries were from interstate and overseas. Fifteen percent of the works were sold ranging in value from $90 to $1500 which in the current market is not too bad. |
