Fungi in Botanical Art Workshop with Anna Voytsekhovich

Anna will give an example of main morphological groups of fungi and explain the difference in their morphology and ecology. She will demonstrate different watercolour techniques that can be used in botanical art and explain the difference in materials and styles. Participants will learn how to produce an initial drawing of selected fungi, what to include in composition, and how to produce an eye catching and aesthetically pleasing botanical watercolour of fungi.

Refreshements and lunch are included. 

About the tutor: Anna Voytsekhovich

Anna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Ecology, and a PhD in Botany, she is a professional scientist, scientific illustrator, botanical artist and wildlife illustrator. A member of the Botanical Art Society of Australia. She currently resides in Sydney and works on a restoration of critically endangered plant communities. Since 2019 Anna teaches botanical and wildlife art for the NatureArt_Lab in Canberra combining art and science in her tuition.
