It is important that the subject is realistically rendered and conveys the grace and lyricism inherent in the plant’s natural habit. To convey the natural harmony of colour in a plant which flows through and further emphasises that sense of line and movement is also important. The smallest details, finely painted, are further impetus for this engagement; indulging her curiosity and pleasure and encouraging an involvement with the plant and respect for its value in the natural world. |
