Following a career as a small animal veterinarian, Melinda began botanic art classes in 2008. She soon decided that coloured pencils were her medium of choice. Since then, Melinda has exhibited in Australia and internationally. Exhibitions include Sydney's Botanica, the 16th International Exhibition of Botanical Art and Illustration in Pittsburgh, and the Royal Horticultural Society Botanical Art and Photography Show in London, where she recently won a silver gilt medal.

Melinda's particular passion is to highlight the world's rapid decline In biodiversity, and the need to protect Australia's unique flora and fauna.
